This auction is wrong on so many levels. Not NOS, not a hipo fuel pump (real one 3939S) .You can make up mind on if clueless seller , down right dishonest or a little of both. buyer beware.  https://www.ebay.com/itm/NOS-64-65-FORD-MUSTANG-SHELBY-HiPo-FUEL-PUMP-With-Canister-And-Filter/112791802093

Pictures of which or both?

Yes, both please. Thank you.

I bought the AMK guide book, but there are no schematics, so if you don't know the part #, it is of little use.

The car has the upper support bracket, but the radiator was bolted to the radiator support panel (GT350 style?)  so it appears I need a lower bracket and rubber insulator.

Anyone have a source for the rubber?
I would be concerned that the radiator is the correct style . The correct radiator would not be able to bolt onto the radiator support small block style without modification.

QuoteJust to be clear the Snake one line version is the last used of the three styles used in 67.

Any idea of  the date or Shelby number when this occurred? I understand this may be a fuzzy number/date -- just like other things at SA in 67.
Fuzzy line. SA didn't keep track of things like this and it is up to enthusiasts to document with observations. I would be interested if someone else can put a pin on the timeline.

does anyone know the story when they went from the cut rear retainer to the full retainer.  what cars got what  67 and 68

cut retainer pictured
I have not found any of the solid version on 67 Shelby's. I am confident that when the change occurred it was at the earliest late 67 production after 67 Shelby production had ceased. I can not remember finding any of the solid style on the unmolested type 67 cars i have come across over the years. Maybe others have.

It doesn't seem logical to go from the CS version with two lines of text:
"Shelby American, Inc.
Los Angeles California"
(since they added the second line after the earlier CS versions that didn't have the extra text) then go to the version for the '67's which swapped the Snake for the CS and then delete the second line of text.  ????

Is more likely (?) that the snake version without the location text was later since they were maybe not sure where the cars would be from but it wasn't going to be Los Angeles, California.  Once it was also known to not be "Shelby American Inc." but "Shelby Automotive" the Snake one line Shelby American Inc. versions were liquidated to service replacements?
Just to be clear the Snake one line version is the last used of the three styles used in 67. The  "Shelby American Inc is only relevant to 1967 production and not used for 1968. The "Shelby Automotive " is only relevant to 1968 production.
Some early 68 Shelby's did indeed use the Shelby American Inc. sill plate emblems.
Thank you for catching that. I was too focused on 67 and mispoke .

Looking for original or repop moulding for the front edge of the hood on a 1969 Shelby.
I got 2,000.00 for the last NOS one I had within the last year. Maybe that price will encourage others to get their NOS ones off of the shelf to offer. All I have are nice used now.

I believe the GT350 Chrome Magnum 500's wheels are made by Wheels Vintiques.  They look very nice, but I don't understand how they are made and not have the safety bead.  Or do they have the safety bead and it is not visible from outside the wheel?

The part number at Virginia Classic Mustang is HB191 and advertised at $289.95 each.  This pricing is very competitive to restoring an original wheel, making a set of five repop wheels attractive when compared  to restoring five original wheels.

Cory
Cory, good question on the safety bead because for the wheel with a modern new rim to be legal and DOT compliant it would have to have a safety bead. I would be interested in knowing someone that will restore the original Hertz Magnums for people lucky enough to have usable cores to restore regardless of fee charged. FYI I imagine the price tag on re chroming a original rim would be over 200.00 given what it cost to get a 66 bumper re chromed now(4-500.00) The ones that I am aware of have gone out of business.

Hello Everyone,

Here is part of an out-take photo taken by Motor Trend on 12/12/66 that shows the '66 style door sill emblem on 0100.

Thanks,
Eric

Just to be clear.  the plates on 100  are the same as the real late 66 emblems.  Most of the 66s  has the single line with the raised CS
Yes late 66 as in the picture.

I will soon be looking for new chrome Magnum 500s for my driver GT350H. Any differences from vendor to vendor? Any recommendations?
There is only one mfg of the new wheels . I would buy from Brant at Virginia Mustang . He is one of the contributors here.

Although the 66 version was used first the single line version that Jeff S. posted was last for a total of three.
