He and his wife had that 135 at MCACN last year, also.  They enjoy meeting people and sharing stories about the car and his career with Ford.  Nice folks.

Thank you.  I have failed to notice tab differences.  Much appreciated visual information.

All of the above, and a really nice man.

Outside rearview mirror is the basic Mustang type, rather than what we should see on an early Shelby.

Quote from: Bob Gaines on October 25, 2024, 01:19:20 PMIf the Kcode/GT had front disc brakes the rotors and calipers were the same as GT350.

If ANY 65/6 Mustang was ordered with disc brakes they were the same as the GT350. The GT package (on A,C,D+K codes) included the disc brake option. You can have a non-GT K with drum brakes if they didn't want to spend the money.

Front Disc Brakes
1965 was the first year that the Mustang offered front disc brakes. Adding disc brakes was a option and cost an extra $58.
NOTE: They were only available on V8 (5 lug) cars.

D and C code Mustangs were not eligible for the GT Equipment Group factory option in 65 or 66.

Look closely to see if the teeth # is cast into the plastic in tiny font?
Sometimes it is.

I seem to recall the color coding corresponding to the teeth and Ford # is listed in the Ford MPC and/or assembly manual?

A member here, anghelrestorations (Marcus Anghel) is in Scottsdale.  I would suggest you introduce yourself and get acquainted.  He is well known and has been around for a while.

Great tour of the show, Brian!

Folks, please add this show to your calendar for October 2025.  This venue is ideal for concours!!  The area also boasts of scenic drives.  The Indiana SAAC club hosts are tops!

Your statement that 68 has a cast iron tail shaft is misleading.  '68 GT500 is an aluminum tailshaft.  '68 KR is cast iron.

Welcome!  You should have some stories.
