1967 Shelby GT350/500 / Re: Correct FORD Part #'s
December 08, 2025, 12:37:40 PM
Jeff mentioned the "Shelby Assembly Manual", this was printed by Tony D Branda Shelby parts.
It's pretty good, BUT, seems to feature later built cars.  Still good and useable, just pencil it the accurate numbers you find for your car.

Up For Auction / Re: 69 GT 350 on BaT

So, the seller titled the car in 2025,and is selling it now.  How come?
And, what was the mileage before the odo was reset to zero?

Otherwise, nice color and options, if I was in the market.....

Lykins is a premier Ford FE engine builder.

The article is very informative.  Thank you

I am surprised that there wasn't any information about what oil weight to use.

1967 Shelby GT350/500 / Re: Group 2 wheels and tires

According to the 2011 (4th edition) SAAC registry: "Wheels were 15" X 8" front, and 15" X 9"rear, American Racing magnesium wheels. Front and rear had different offsets.
Some cars were shipped with steel 15' X 6" wheels and the buyers were free to use whatever they wanted
Watch the forums "for Sale section for somebody selling this registry. Or Ebay

The registry has 8 plus pages of modification info and photos.

Wouldn't hurt to consult the Boss 302 chassis modification book. Reprints are available.

Ford GT / Re: "FORD Builds A GT RACER"

Since that it the earliest rendition of a GT40, I'd suggest it is out of a 1964 edition of Road & Track or Sports Car Graphic magazines.

Seems always the same old tired story: I'm gonna fix it up some day ".

Nice to know these cars make great storage shelves, right?

I once looked at a dark blue 67 GT 500 a little outside Kankakee Illinois. Had every dead riding lawnmower packed in the garage with it.

Wait a minute. Also check the hood glass to metal underliner bond. Same thing happens to the early car hoods too.

At last years MCACN show there was a place with a booth that did the early Bronocs.  I believe it was near St.Louis MO.  Sorry, don't remember the name.

Just curious:  Might that part number have come in a "Cobra Kit" package?
