Quote from: Bill Collins on November 08, 2025, 01:56:21 PMThe '66 GT350 used a similar cap from the Fairlane deluxe wheel, hence the C6OA engineering number. This cap is not debossed. The plastic center insert is changed for the Shelby application to a Cobra snake logo reading "GT350" rather than "Cobra".

+1. The 66 GT350, 66 Fairlane Deluxe Interior, and 66 Galaxie 7-litre all share the same center cap with a C6OA-3655-A casting number, only the emblems are different. Photo below shows the Fairlane and Galaxie versions...

The 65-66 GT350 export brace, welded reinforcement plate, and washer reinforced shock towers were all installed at San Jose. Yes, you can feel the original unevenly spaced bolt holes so I assume those were pre-drilled earlier in production?

Do have to admit, every time I use the engine cross brace to jack up the front, it makes me a little nervous to see the brace flex with the original T-pan just above it.

That VIN is also listed in Tony Gregory's HiPo book 4th edition. Car was in Montana then.

The tools work great but on a 65-66 driver's side you will need to move the fuel line out of the way since it runs right where the tool needs to sit against the frame.

Finally completed all my remaining filters, this will be my last batch, last chance to get one of these. If anyone wants an Autolite stamped version for a very late 66 or early 67 GT350 I can also convert one of these. Any that don't sell here I will bring to SAAC-50.

Update: All the filters are sold. Thanks to everyone who bought these over the years!

Correct OE cable (casing and core) for all 65-66 4-speed cars is Ford C5OZ-17260-A, total length according to the MPC is 64.92".

Quote from: Bob Gaines on June 30, 2025, 09:57:55 AMThe hose clamps would not be touched during the original intake exchanged process. The bolts were taken out of the thermostat housing and the housing with hoses attached folded back out of the way.  I would paint in place if you can. If reusing a older clamp, a bead blasted clamp etc. You may want to do a preliminary painting before a final painting in place once a assembled.

Bob,

Was the housing with hoses attached folded back out of the way the typical process? Just asking because the French Film shows the housing attached to the intake while being installed, at least during this production time which we think was early March 1966. This shot also shows what appears to be a new (not painted) hose fitting.

Dave

Dave, could you point out where the "new unpainted hose" is in the picture? I see that the hose is not attached to the intake but can't tell in a black and white picture a hose that is not dark like or close to the engine color - or the other items. Can't see the top of the water pump since the radiator top is in the way.

As been mentioned before the specific engine in this car (unknown if this was taken on the line or if this was done for the photo shoot) still has the chrome valve covers in place

So hard to see many details in a black and white picture. Even the off white intake gaskets are darker than I would have anticipated but that could be the lighting or exposure of the negative

Jeff,

Unfortunately none of the stuff I have from the film shows the any of the bypass hose or clamps, only the very top upper rad hose bending down from the radiator and heater hose that was removed from the elbow.

Hope someone here bought it, because as the Eagles song says....it"s 'Already Gone'.

No affiliation...

Not painted the correct white color, just mentioning it in case anyone is interested in an inexpensive alternative:
