what happened Billy,  the little passenger car motor broke ?

I find such childish, petty comments as an admittance that you are on the losing end of the equation. You only had one chance to make a first impression, and you lost the opportunity to come back from that. Knowing this, you continue to spiral down the rabbit hole, just like you did on SAAC 1.0 when you opened multiple accounts under different user names, and posted to try and make your Florida area forum the biggest, best, and most popular..Guess that backfired too.Everyone knows that now, and when you have to post in response to your own threads to keep them active because nobody else wants to have anything to do with you, well, you already know. What a sad, lonely, and pathetic life you must lead if this is your best foot forward.

But, for those of us in CA, the SB100 sticker is the Golden Ticket at the DMV.

I'm still amazed our car-hating Commifornia legislature okayed that.  That was a rare case of logic actually winning over blind & defiant gov't ignorance.

I did make mention to that in my earlier post....Then again, over the years, as the SB100 was being tweaked and developed, I had a few open conversations with Mr. Morgester, Calif state attorney assigned to FRAUD TITLE and REGISTRATION issues. Some things we agreed on, others we did not. How the SB100 came to be, without a year listed on the actual, state issued title, was one of those items we did not agree on.

?

What is the question? Yes, Hertz had a rental program that used 68-69 Shelbys as well.

They made Hertz cars in 68 and 69 so you are missing some of the "real" ones.

Yes, they did  ;)

Unlike those "licensed" vehicles with no provenance or attachment with the original 60's Hertz cars  :o

definitely a Badass car. with Cobra automotive involvement, its probably the best Replica currently on the market in my honest opinion,

Shame it got messed up with the 2023 Spec Const title in California though....Unless high bidder is in that state, trying to get a kit car titled with a title not listing a year (the SB100 sticker means nothing out of state) is not always an easy thing to do. Wonder what happened to the original title before California decided to do away with it.

The reason I'm asking is because it seems to be the same poster all the time that has a 'sticky topic'.
Just wondering why.

Sticky topics are used by the moderation staff, which is why you see them listed. Some of us used to be moderators, so a few of ours may be shown at the top of some subforums. As for what I posted previously, you can see, that particular, very limited participant, falls right in to the link in my sig line.

Here is wishing you well.

Corey,

Some states purge their records after 10-20 years, so not surprised they cannot find "any records" of a previous title or registration. As for the rest, congratulations, you rolled the dice and came away with what sounds like a great project. Look forward to watching the restoration process as you see fit to post.

I know this is an old post but a MKll is up for sale here in Indy for $124,000. The only red hatchback produced. here's the link https://www.facebook.com/marketplace/item/351070847444367/?ref=browse_tab&referral_code=marketplace_top_picks&referral_story_type=top_picks

If it was a convertible, perhaps it might attain a lofty price such as posted. A fastback, no matter the color, I'm not so optimistic.

Have been a member for a few years now. Just curious. In the forums, what does a 'sticky topic' mean?

Generally, a sticky topic means that it is permanently placed at the top of the forum, or placed at the top of the forum for a set amount of time for the importance of the subject matter.
There is however, one sub forum here, that sadly has topics set as a sticky so that the moderator of that specific sub forum can manipulate what can be seen or posted in his fiefdom. The link in my signature will explain in greater detail.

Certainly they seem to resent the 67 SAAC Registry and Dave Mathews for sure.

Up until yesterday, I saw Dave Mathews name and email address at the top of their page, along with Mr Styles, and another SAAC registrar (late model I believe). Today, I do not see any of them listed.

They are all the same whether put in a 6 cyl coupe or Gt500.  Am, AM 8 track and AM/FM
For future reference:

AM: C9ZA-18806-A
AM/8-track: C9ZA-19A242-B
AM/FM: C9ZA-19A241

Just had one restored, I may have another C9ZA-19A241 that needs internal restoration, I'll check when I have time.

On a certain, early 68 prototype I inspected at Volo back in the mid 1990's, I remember the backs a little rougher on the front end then what your attached picture shows. Had a ton of Polaroid pictures I took at that time, but sadly, lost them in a house fire back in the late 90's.
