Quote from: 69 GT350 Vert on August 10, 2026, 08:11:48 PMMy original FMX lost reverse today, and has been acting up for a while.  Can anyone recommend a good rebuilder preferably in Pennsylvania or a neighboring state.  I'm also not against putting it on a pallet and shipping it.  Thanks.

Have you checked with the Lehigh Valley SAAC group for am recommendation?

Sad, he was a great man with a lot of knowledge and a great sense of humor.

Our condolences to his family and friends.

Quote from: mbriggs on August 09, 2026, 10:38:43 AMSAAC National Convention is coming up the last week of August at Road  Atlanta.  Is anyone from Carolina planning on attending? I planning to take my 289 Cobra down in a trailer.

It would be fun to catch up at the Convention.

Thanks,

Michael Briggs

Will be down day of show only due to conflicts in our schedule. Will most likely be down in our 70 GT 350 convertible, but it will depend on the weather and how SWMBO is feeling that early AM  ;D

I believe this one may be a recreation, somewhere in the back of my head I've seen the chassis before.

Only one Gold GT500 fastback, and as of today, I believe it is still Gold in color  ;)

I love the stuff you had come through your hands. Now if the Harris Speedster was ever finished  ;)

With the air cleaner assembly properly installed, take one hand and grasp the heat rider tube, gently move it towards the air cleaner assembly until it is aligned, then push down on the air cleaner snorkel until the heat riser tube seats against it. Again, it's easy to do if the parts you have are correct for the engine, to make it a bit easier, loosen the air cleaner wing nut to allow additional movement.

Quote from: Brian350 on July 04, 2026, 05:21:08 PMGot some touch up I want to do on the mesh trim and a couple of the emblems. Can anybody who's done this recommend the correct paint and/or technique? I just figured on finding a similar paint and using a very small paint brush. Any other ideas are welcome.

Go to your local hobby shop, they will have the touch up brushes and the paint colors you require.

Yes, it really is that simple.
