The guy driving was a Hair cutter to the stars, Jay Sebring, he changed it from his real name - he was killed the night of the Manson murders,  Cut Steve McQueen's hair and Carroll Shelby's and Paul Newman.

McQueen and Robert Vaughn, the actor, were invited to the party the night of the murders but neither went.  McQueen was on Manson's hit list.

"Thomas John Kummer, known professionally as Jay Sebring, was an American celebrity hair stylist, and the founder of the hairstyling corporation Sebring International. Sebring was murdered by members of the Manson Family along with his ex-girlfriend Sharon."

Yes as portions of DSO's, the two largest were 55 cars all GT500's and 57 cars all GT350's seems these would have been at the LA facility about Feb - March, also there were 47 built at Ford in June that would likely have been at Shelby late June.

News from HQ / Re: Posting pictures?

One way is to type the message you want and then click the PREVIEW button to the bottom right of the message box, it will then show a box below the message box where you can navigate to or drag an image from a location in your computer, or if you have another window/folder open on your computer where you can see the image or images you can drag them to that lower box area, you'll see them and then click the POST button, below the lower right corner of the message box.

There is another way, by clicking on the little photo icon in the header bar that let's you type a size and url location but I've not done that.

Hope this helps...

Check the fluid level, if low add "Type F" (Ford) and see if it changes the situation.

Mag Stars centers - the metal base - have a single top ridge and are a slightly larger diameter, the 10-spokes have a double top ridge and metal base is smaller in diameter.  The emblems are aluminum (thicker than foil) and are two different diameters as well

(will try and find a photo - found a couple)

See attached, Jeff's image with some added info, the "C" knob is the CHOKE, the air Vent in his image is like the one you linked with the longer two-hole attachment tab  ;-)
