It is with a heavy heart that we pass along this message...
"Jeff Burgy passed on at 5:45 am this morning. His daughter Heather was by his side and stated Jeff was resting and in no pain, passing peacefully. I (Jeff's youngest brother) am here with Heather.

I know Jeff has loads of friends in SAAC and this will be the 1st annual meeting of SAAC he will miss. Please share with some of those who've been close to Jeff.

Scott Burgy"

Scott,

My thoughts and prayers are with you and the Burgy family.

I have been fortunate to know Jeff and be able to call him a friend. We would talk at every Shelby show or event. Jeff's sense of humor and candor was priceless. He was always ready to help; lend a hand .... offer an opinion. Jeff was tenacious in learning, documenting.

Respectfully,

Rick

Very sad news... Jeff was a very special guy. May he rest in peace.

This is really sad news. Lisa Tiffany and I would look forward to seeing Jeff every year. He was a tremendous booster of the club and supporter of Shelby American, its cars and people. He personally helped me with my own car on numerous occasions. And he had been at the centre of all our activities since the very beginning, even before SAAC. Please extend our sincere condolences to his family.

Always looked for and enjoyed seeing and talking with Jeff at car events, he was from this area and would come back and visit.

So sad to hear this news.

Jeff was one of the great ones, both with regard to SAAC, and as a human being.
My first recollection of Jeff was at Indy in 1994. I believe he was working in tech, and had a hat with a fake pony tail hanging off the back. But I did not realize the pony tail was fake, and when I saw him the next day, he was not wearing that hat, and I was so confused, wondering why he had cut off his pony tail.
I have had many discussions with him since.

He will be sorely missed.

When you arise in the morning, think of what a precious privilege it is to be alive to breathe, to think, to enjoy, to love.

Deepest Sympathy to Jeff's family. What a great car guy! Lots of Ford Motor Company and Shelby friends will miss Jeff dearly. I loved all his car show coverage over the years and his friendship. R.I.P. Jeff!
