Almost looks like the real thing!   ;)  ;)

It's a deal at $3k.  I haven't seen one for sale in probably 5 years.  The crack can be filled in and the rest of the battery detailed to look nice.

Up For Auction / Re: Ebay auction 68 HL bucket

I've seen the exact same pieces, they are reproduction for sure.  Not fun to fit to a car and modify/file down the headlight opening area to work with the headlight chrome ring and inner ring retainer for the headlight.

Wow!! Can't believe it's being sold

Wanted to Buy / Re: 68 radiator/hood seal- Original

Be tough to find and original in usable condition that wasn't damaged from removal.  Consider that an original that was installed will have staple holes in different locations than another car.

Have to give the seller some respect for bringing a car like that to auction... big block converted to small block!

The market is usually not kind to heavily modified cars like this, but lots of buyers do like this type of car, so we'll see.

Services Offered / Re: water pump rebuilds
May 24, 2024, 11:08:54 AM
Quote from: Bill on May 24, 2024, 07:10:50 AMUnfortunately, their water pump rebuild service pages have been marked "Restoration Service Discontinued" for quite some time.

Jack did a '65 pump for me not that long ago.  He sells parts to rebuild and a press adapter to install the front seal.  I've done a few, relatively straight-forward.

Look like large center hole, not right for '68.  Should be ok for a clone.

Period correct OEM Ford keys typically have an 'H' stamped on them.

Seen the same on SJ cars and also other assembly plant cars.  Probably a rotation number or something to ID that a particular type of windshield went in a car optioned for that specific type.

Quote from: tesgt350 on May 06, 2024, 06:59:18 AMBeautiful Mustang for sure but, I would not use the term "Highly Optioned".  It doesn't have A/C, P/S, P/B.  What is the Radio, AM, AM/FM or AM/8 Track?  I would say nicely Optioned.

Considering a/c, p/s and p/b were not available on K codes, I'd say it was pretty well optioned being a GT and deluxe interior.

Quote from: deathsled on May 05, 2024, 10:56:41 PMSo as I thought more about your observations Mr. Turner, does the mark being more to the left when the alignment was done therefore translate to my steering wheel being unable to turn full left to its maximum lock and being able to turn too far over to the right?  That sounds a bit perilous.

That's correct.  It's probably not too noticeable being about a 1/4 of a turn off, but should be fixed.
