Up For Auction / Re: I have questions

Quote from: Coralsnake on March 01, 2026, 11:03:09 AMQuestion 1 could you really buy a body from a Ford dealer?

If you and/or the dealer had the right connection at FoMoCo, yes, a "body in white" could be procured. All that I have seen (drag and race related) did have a VIN associated with the unibody, but no title, just a bill of sale.

🤔

This was recently on facebook marketplace, I sent it to Vern telling him he needed to buy it. Guess someone else got there first.

After discussion with several dealers/market movers and shakers, and with their sound understanding of the current market, I've reduced the price to $195,500

Phil,

After speaking with you and Kathy, I knew it was just a matter of time, but not as short a time. Glad he did not suffer further.

Our heartfelt condolences go out to Kathy and the rest of their family and friends.

They should learn the difference between "concourse" and "concours" and be consistent.

A concourse is a large, open, and often busy, space in a public building—such as an airport terminal, railway station, or shopping mall—where pathways meet and crowds gather or pass through.

A Concours (or Concours d'Elegance) is a French term meaning "competition of elegance," referring to prestigious, judged exhibitions of classic or luxury automobiles.

Can't you have a Concours event on a concourse ?
Then again, why do I drive on a parkway, but park in a driveway?

Hang in there, Reliable will do whatever they have to in order to repair the car or make you whole. In this case, as the retired bodyshop owner, it's not horrible and they will repair on their dime.

Can has a fresh tank of 93 octane and SWMBO and I enjoyed our 30 minute cruise in stop and go traffic  ::)
At least the sun was out and it was in the mid 70's allowing us to put the top down

Appeals / Re: How was JamilGT able to Hi-Jack a Thread?
February 18, 2026, 03:07:02 PM
Spammers and scammers are known to find an old, unlocked thread and make their post to it, no hi-jacking at all.

Did you report it as the spam it is like I did so it can be removed and the offending account banned from the site?

Appeals / Re: Car trailer service
February 12, 2026, 09:06:04 PM
Quote from: aboss4tg on February 12, 2026, 05:45:22 AMPurchased an enclosed car trailer and interested to see if anyone has waterproofed the underside wood exposed to the elements. I live in Florida and rain and water on the roads is a constant problem in the summertime. I see there is some type of treatment on the wood but looks weak. Has anyone tried Flex Seal or something else to help preserve the wood or see issues with sealing?

Todd

Once I was certain it was 100% dry and the humidity level in the building I had the trailer is was below 50%, I hit my original 1996 Hallmark 20' enclosed car trailer with a truck bedliner out of a spray can. The modern equivilent would be Herculine or Raptor.

Quote from: owenkelley on February 03, 2026, 05:46:35 PMI'm helping an elderly neighbor try to figure out what her Cobra replica may be worth. Her husband recently passed away, it was his car, and she'd like to sell it. It's a Unique Motorcars vehicle which is out of Gadsden Alabama. Is anyone familiar with their cars?
For the record, the Weavers are some of the nicest people you'll ever want to meet.......

Sent you a PM vs a long post here on the ins and outs of Cobra replicas and their various makes, models, builds.
