Here is an excellent example of how colors change. The Robe looks blue but the car in the background is a 68 GT500 Acapulco blue car and it looks green. Pic taken at Graduation and the grad bought the car in March of 68. Another pic of the same car.

Quote from: pchmotoho on May 15, 2024, 11:57:51 PMThanks Brian.  I'll be curious to see what happens with 6s2374. I guess EBay didn't pan out for his half million dollar car (as described on eBay)
too bad it is going off Saturday because I will be down there Friday only(Spring fling on Saturday). I'll still go over the car with a few other forum members on Friday though. Gary

Quote from: TA Coupe on May 14, 2024, 06:58:26 PMThanks for the link.  Doesn't show sold prices like before.

What do you want? Look at my pic. THe sold prices are there from yesterday's auction on some random cars I screenshot. You have to sign up to see. You don't have to be signed up to bid. So if you want to see the prices  you need to log in. Gary

H dist for 4 speed and J for auto and to be clear that is for a 1969 and not a 70. Dual vacuum advance with have HP6 stamped on it. https://www.428cobrajet.org/id-distributor

Quote from: stephen_becker on May 06, 2024, 07:27:48 PMOn some of the Mecum cars they will not disclose the VIN number unless you are registered to bid?! WTF? Really?...........
Are you sure you have to be registered and not just have an account to see all the specifics? I can see vins and  I'm not registered to bid. Which cars are in question so I can look?

Quote from: roddster on May 12, 2024, 11:19:09 AMCan anyone explain why the lil Red car appears to be Maroon? Cars in the background are a real red. Wondering about this.
And, too bad it's blurry, I wonder what the fender strips says, GT500 or
EXP ?

Does the opening for EXP500 or GT500 look longer to accept the extra letter?

I got a "New" reproduction pair of them never used  BUT no date codes and just the eng #s on them. I bought them to be "trunk" items if I ever sell the car as I'm running hookers on my Mach1. I paid 375 for them with bolts so at that price I said WTH. They look really good to me the pair I have. On the car I wonder how much you could see fully dressed.

Quote from: chipsdad56 on May 01, 2024, 10:03:12 PMHi,I'm looking for a few original 68 Shelby parts. Please let me know if you would like to sell any of the following:

1. Drivers side end cap for fastback.
2. Fog light support.
3. GT350 dash emblem.
4. Front letter panel.
John

I added a picture of the dash emblem I am looking to buy.
Damn you are killing me as I might also need a few of those parts but until I have my next 68 title in my hand I'm not buying any parts(owner is waiting on it).
