Car Show. A terrific show in a quiet
section of Pittsburgh with a great
showing of cars. I was glad to get the
invite and a picture of the car was in
the Pittsburgh paper. Whoopee!
Some time off in early August at
the Syracuse National with my buddy
and his car and then it was off to the
Woodward Dream cruise for a few
days of cruising Woodward. We had a
spot to park at 13 Mile and Woodward
so we had a great time and was even
interviewed by the local Detroit TV
station. The roads in Detroit can de-
stroy a tank and it was a rough ride;
and of course one night it rained, but I
would do it again just because it’s so
unique.
Back on Monday, and the next
weekend it was on to the Chesapeake
City Car show, way up on the Eastern
Shore of Maryland; about a 200-mile
round trip. I hadn’t been there before
and didn’t know what to expect; it
turned out to be a great show with
cars parked all over the town. I even
won a Top 40 Pick, and was surprised
to get that based upon the quality of
cars I saw, including a red 1968 GT350
Hertz car. Then it was the Wheels in
Deale Car show on August 29th.
