The SHELBY AMERICAN
Spring 2019 20
We don’t know how he does it but
Young can pick out a Shelby logo in
a photo from a mile away. He spot-
ted this Shelby t-shirt [
above
] in a
full page of photos taken at a Street
Machine Nationals meet printed in
black-and-white. He also spotted
the two t-shirts [
below
]. One was so
small we had to use a magnifying
glass to see it. If only Young could
find a way to use this talent to
make money.
How does he do it? It seems that
every time he turns on the televi-
sion Warren is confronted by a
cobra. This show was titled “Cobra
Mafia” and was about the cobra
family.
The Shelby on the cover of this
street rod comic book jumped out
at Young. It was in an article about
noted street rod artist Dave Bell
who recently passed away.
Young homed in on this 013 license
plate on a street rod pick-up like a
heat seeking missile being fired into a
pizza oven.
Hutchinson checks in with Queen
Victoria’s Betrothal Ring – a
replica of the serpent engagement
ring given to her by Prince Albert.
It’s only $89,95. What’s Hutch
doing in the bargain basement?
Following the Scottsdale auction, Bar-
rett-Jackson started putting this link
on their site and attaching it to ads. It
showed the eight new Ford GTs that
went across the block and the sale
price. Of course, Young spotted it im-
mediately. He noted, unnecessarily,
that he did not buy one of them.
When Young was in Italy he picked
up this business card. He had no
idea what the business was.
