Yes that is the way I remember them . More smooth between the minimal graining.

Just a few other steps. If you haven't already..disconnect the battery. From under the dash disconnect the brake light switch plug-pull out the hairpin clip and remove the switch. Slide the pushrod and nylon washers and bushing off the pedal pivot pin. For the under hood, I would remove the master cylinder and the export brace as well as the valve cover so nothing will get scratched especially the nice new restored booster when you reinstall. My favorite go to is an electric 3/8" impact. This really is not as bad once you get going with the proper tools. ALSO Strongly recommend Booster Dewey(now Mark) in Wash.
Excellent work and people to deal with. It will come apart without all this but....going together is so
Much easier with everything removed. Hope you work it out.

Very sad. Have known Doug since our club days back in NJ and have stayed in touch once he moved roughly 45 minutes north in FL. I'll miss his special camaraderie and friendship. RIP, friend.

Is there any rust and is it all original fiberglass?  Is the starter delay there.

1967 Shelby GT350/500 / GT 500 plug wires

Not sure if most people know but the current GT 500 wires that Marti sells are not correct for non Thermactor cars. I have been talking to Kevin and gave him an original set I took off a car in the 3000's. He has looked at them and is willing to do them under the following. 1. They will be $100 a set. 2. If you previously bought the Thermactor version no refunds. 3. He needs a commitment for 25 sets. If you are interested reply here so I can give him a head count. If your car is being judged you will receive a deduction for incorrect wires.
I'm sure someone will ask so I'll answer. These will have all black boots, protector sleeve on #1 only and 90 degree boot on #8. We are still working on this but I am recommending he do 2 dates, 4q66 and 2q67.
Edit. After talking to Kevin, he said he has never seen anything earlier than a second quarter 67 date. He's even thinking that there may not be dates on the earlier wires. If anybody has any original dated wires, please chime in as to what the dates are so we can get this right
