Quote from: Royce Peterson on January 15, 2026, 08:24:51 AM......I reserved a midsize Hertz car at the airport. When I got there the lot was empty except a Shelby GT-H convertible. The Hertz attendant rented me that convertible.
My dad had to travel on occasion for work and being 16 with a new drivers license I always volunteered to drive him to LAX. We passed the Hertz store and out front were always a row of Gt350H cars. I begged him to rent one for a weekend and even offered to pay for it - to no avail. I was never able to talk him into staying at the Wigwam motel when I was younger either. Man those aerospace engineers were cheap......

Cast Iron tailshaft

66 Shelby's started receiving mixed units ( aluminum main case/ cast tailshaft) from what I've seen starting in the SFM 800s range.

Transmission shifts great, all gears look good. Spins freely.

Small bracket welded on for some unknown purpose but could easily be removed and cleaned up.

Price: $10,000.00

Will ship.

Thanks,

Quote from: Jeb67 on August 12, 2024, 07:39:30 PMHey all I have an early 67 gt500 that has shock tower reinforcement as 68 and on big blocks came with from ford, should or did shelby weld reinforcement plates in originally?

The original poster was asking about '67 Shelby's. These were on all '67 Shelby's GT350 & GT500, see attached EARLY '67 GT350 which corresponds to the first set of images in Jeff's post #5.  And yes, sloppy welds not pretty.

Tim,
I have nine coils and none of them have a 9 on the date...!??   I do have one that is blank, but I would want to give it a critical eye and test the spark before saying it (or any of them) are good.

GT40 - Original/Mk V / Re: GT40 Roadster on Ebay

Hi all,
Would like to know where the parts/car came from to create G.T.101 Which is apparently in France.
In pictures it looks much nicer than the car on e-bay. Someone spent serious dollars. Good thing we have registrars to keep track of this stuff.
