Up For Auction / 2026 Barrett-Jackson Scottsdale Auction
December 02, 2025, 01:03:12 PM
There is a collection of Shelby Mustangs headed to the upcoming auction in Scottsdale for 2026. Too many to list individually and more may be added later so hopefully the link works. - Kevin

Mr. Gaines is correct on using an acid-based wheel cleaner. Mothers makes one for polished aluminum wheels that took off years of baked on brake dust without harming the finish. Only a little scrubbing was needed. He is also correct it is nasty stuff wear rubber gloves and some sort of glasses if working closely. The new versions are not as strong. - Kevin

I have no association with these Shelby's. Passing along information that I couldn't find posted here unless incorrectly searched. - Kevin

I went to PITT twice because of this group. Took my wife to Engishtown before they stopped drag racing. Damn shame is right.

Up For Auction / Re: 0F02R482812 on BAT

Thank you for the information. I wouldn't buy an old Shelby without bringing one of you guys along. I'd buy an old Mustang as a nice driver but not a Shelby poorly restored with high price tag.

Knowlege, question I have not owned an old Mustang yet. Is the fitment of the rear valance to rear quarter panels to fit that poorly normal? Why use rusty hardware to mount the front valance when the under-hood fender hardware is new and shiny. If you are paying that much for autobody work rusty hardware doesn't work for me. - Kevin

1969-1970 Shelby GT350/500 / Re: Rare 1970

It sold at Mecum for $121K. I like orange Shelby's but the red interior is not my taste.

I have been using this product to clean my vehicles interiors for years. No greasy residue or shine. I don't even think there is a scent, but I don't have the ability to smell like I used to. Spray on a rag and wipe off.

This car is also for sale at Classic Auto Mall. There are a lot more picture of this car showing it's rough and tumble side. This is not my car.

I have no association with this car. Just cruising the web and frequent this auction site and found this for sale in an upcoming auction. Did a quick search and did not find it already posted. - Kevin

I don't know what size you are running but I use Continental Extreme Contact Sport 02 which have been replaced by Sport Contact 7. The Extreme Contact are quiet, good in the rain and the tire surface temperature would warm up with normal driving even in New England which aided me in traction. I threw out the BF Goodrich tires I first put on the car because  in second gear the car would always kick slightly sideways. -Kevin

I attended this show with my wife. It was little over 200+ miles drive from our home. Some of it slow due to construction. Driving a Shelby at 13 MPH on a highway is tough. A huge thank you to all involved in this gathering. - Kevin
