It has been a long time since I worked on my Shelby tail lights. I used the rear harness and instructions from Pete. They were excellent. I do remember, changing the headlight switch and the dimmer switch for new ones. cant remember if that had an effect on the tail lights. Im sorry I cant be of more help. My advise is to clean all contacts and put back to stock. Get it working ,then look at improvements ,if still wanted. The correct flashers are a must.

I would think, Rodger Penske could source or fabricate anything he needed.

I have 2 of the 16228-A, used. I realize that is not what you are looking for. The only place I remember seeing an orange backing, was on a 1970 Torino cobra grill. Have seen some with the Cobra on the grill and some without. ???

I am in Sask, but not near Regina. There is a mustang and Ford club in Regina. Perhaps you could contact them. I am not aware of a Butte Sask. There is Central Butte, Pilot Butte, Castle Butte. I think a fellow named Mike Kyle was the club president, but I have no contact information. I hope this helps.

I have found some video of the show. Most show a strong group of Mopars. I know the GTO was celebrated this year, but there seems to be a small group of Ford powered cars. I would liked to have seen more,as it was Ford that had the Total Performance Program, which was a big part of the muscle car period. . jmo
