I am looking for some help to identify if all of these parts I have are original.
Long story short, I picked up these parts from someone who has restored a handful of 65-66 shelbys in his day. After getting the parts home and going through the boxes I reached back out to him and asked if all parts were original take offs. He is quite old, but recalls installing a complete new Branda kit for the restoration and saved these take off parts. The parts were wrapped in newspaper dated 2001 so most likely theyve been boxed up since then.

The 4 black frame pieces are plastic and have grain, the gaskets and plexiglass deffinately look like they are 60+ yrs old, no markings on plexiglass, but its the exterior molding that is in question, How can I tell if they are original or not? What material was used? what finish? how to determine the finish? are there certain bends or crimp marks to look for?

Once I properly identify them Id like to get them to someone restoring a 66 , so would also like to know what fair market value might be as well?
I have many more pics if needed.

Looking forward to any replies, thanks

Question ;
I Did a moch up install of a 68 big block shifter on a Mustang toploader with C7OR mid position tail and FE kick back plate.
Im wondering if the reverse rod is supposed to have this appx 3/4" upwards bend near the middle ???

Also, am I correct in thinking that rods and levers were the same on big block / small block? ,
I realize that big block mixing box was slightly different with the reverse lever angled back

Any info is good info, thanks

Thanks for the reply.
I actually got a reply from an old Ford guru yeaterday.
He told me the stamped number on the rod was used all 68 year both small block and big block, but not sure when it actually started.
And the 2" shifter bolt spacing was a 1968 march and later

I have owned many 65-68 Toploader shifter assemblies , rods, levers over the years.
I have never seen a stamped number on any 65-68 Mustang linkage rods until now.
Does anyone know if this 3-4 rod is just basic run of the mill, or if its something special or desirable?
This is a 68 Big block shifter.

I should also note the center to center spacing on the 2 holes for the bottom of the stick is 2.00" not the basic 1.800" .
Did all 68 shifters use 2" center to center spacing , or was this a big block only thing? I was told it may be 68KR only?
Any info is good info, thanks
