I am not too familiar with all the exact details on 65/66 shelbys , I have these and Im trying to figure out what this style steering wheel center would have come on? has Ford number C6OA-3655-A

This center is for use with the factory "Deluxe interior" Mustang style wheel,
Did any 65-66 shelbys come with the Deluxe style wheel? Is this correct for 66 GT350-H ?
When I google for images,  im seeing a few different types of steering wheels on 65-66 shelbys.

trying to properly identify these 2 different calipers.
caliper on left #56977 in center of small half, K/H unreadable number on big half.
no other numbers or date codes found.

is style on left correct for 65 - 66 and style on right correct for 67

Im not too familar with 69-70 shelbys
I have a set of center caps , trying to determine if they are originals or repops.
They are plastic and have CCPC S9MS-1130-B number on the back .
 I noticed that Scott Drake / Holley offers a reproduction (catalog part number S9MS-1130-D) , But im not sure if those scott drake ones have any numbers on the back?

I know that the 70 shelby was basically a 69 with a 70 vin number,
But what toploader is correct for a 70 GT500 ?

Would it have the same RUG-AE2 tag, C7OR tail  thats in the 69 and use the same 69 shifter?
or
Would it be a RUG-AZ tag , with a D0ZR tail and a Hurst shifter

I plan on listing these for sale soon and wanted to advertise them correctly,
Can anyone confirm the authenticity of these gauges , If they are correct for Cobra ,if so what year ?
If they are not Cobra , What else could they have come in ?
They all say made in the UK ,
and the water and oil gauge say Smiths , but the speedo does not.

Up for sale is a set of 8 original 289 Hipo rods.
I believe they would be correct for Boss 302 as well if they had the other style oval head rod bolt.
(update 4/4/23: there are slight differences between Hipo 289 and Boss 302 rods, These would not be correct for Boss 302)

I believe these are the correct original axles for 67 GT500 and 66-67 Fairlane 427 ,
but can someone confirm what other applications they are correct for.?

Are they correct for 67 GT350? are they correct for 68 GT350 and / or 68 GT500?
These have the unique semi circle casting design on the ends and have the quarter hash marks.
Measure 27 1/8" and 31 1/8"

I plan on listing them for sale soon and wanted to list them as accurate as possible.

Both the air cleaner base and hose have been sold

Plan on listing these for sale shortly and wanted to confirm exactally what they are.
Is this an original 68 GT350 air cleaner base and hose , or was it also used on other models ?

selling an original air cleaner lid.
After doing some research  and asking questions here,  (thanks Bob)
This is an original sand cast, straight leg 'R' lid in black krinkle.
I was told this was most likely a mid production in 67 produced after the plain finish lids and before the curved leg 'R' castings.

Some idiot decided to drill a hole in the center, so it will need some type of repair.
The black krinkle is in good survivor condition and will look much nicer with a cleaning , and since the repair is on the top of the clean fin area, the black finish wont be disturbed

But trying to identify this air cleaner lid.
I was told it was possibly an early 67 shelby 2x4 that someone painted black krinkle and drilled a center hole.
All 67 oval air cleaners were plain finish correct ?

which valve covers would have come on the orignal 427 Cobras ?
finned alum "Cobra Le Mans" (in 1 line)
finned alum "Cobra Le Mans (with Le Mans underneath cobra)
finned alum with just "Cobra"
chrome pentroof?

Going to be putting a big shaft toploader into a 427 Cobra , I have the option of using a close ratio or a wide ratio , I believe the rear end gear is 3.31

I realize from a dead stop  the close ratio would be a little less aggressive off the line , but with the amount to torque from the 427 and the somewhat light weight of the car wouldnt those factors make up for itself? The starting line ratio of wide ratio toploader would be  9.20 (2.78 x 3.31), and the close ratio  7.67 (2.32 x 3.31)  , I realize tire height , vehicle weight , available torque and even flywheel material play important factors but
looking for your personal opinions .
maybe some of you out there have used both close and wide and have some real seat of your pants feedback ?

on a 427 cobra with toploader and factory ford shifter assembly ,
If the stick is mounted backwards, the reverse lock out lever (tab) that slides up and down is now on the wrong side and wont work properly.


Is there a reproduction chrome stick specifically made for this application where the lock out is switched to the other side?

Plan on installing a Toploader in a 427 cobra and have some questions.
I have every toploader combination and different extension housings
Wanted to select the best one for correct shifter position coming through the floor.

Would this be a 24" toploader , with a mid shifter position extension housing, with the factory big block metal shifter relocation plate bringing it back (like a big block mustang) , factory shifter with the handle installed backwards?
or another combination?

I also have a small block mustang extension housing with its shifter position at the end of the tail, that has been bored out to big shaft if thats a better route to go.

Im looking for a steering wheel center emblem for 68 shelby.
It can be used or a reproduction.
