Possibly this information can help folks.

Appreciate the response.
Does anyone know the length of the wiring from the back of an original 66 Shelby Tach?
Thank you

Fran

6/11 update:
Purchased Alloy Metal PN 65-RPR-LP
(1965-1966 Mustang Rally Pac Repair Cable Assemblies. Tach & Clock)

The 3 wires (use for Shelby GT350 Tach) circled in my previous post are 21 1/2" long. I pulled my instrument cluster and mocked up the cable routing..looks like this length is OK.
The only difference from what I've seen on original wiring is the lamp wiring molded plug end. This is red, typical OEM is black.

Possibly the tachometer section of the 1966 Mustang Rally Pac from Alloy Metal is something that might work. (1966 Shelby GT350 tachometer)

Any thoughts on that?
Unsure about the wire length.
Wire color is ok.
Protective sleeving(black tubing) can be reused from my original tach.

Ref circled wiring in attached photo.

I understand that Phil Severance could replace a harness assembly when he serviced the tach. I've heard that he had an apprentice working with him at some point.
If this is correct, does anyone know how to contact him so I can ask about a wiring harness.

Thank you

Looking for sources for a new wiring harness to repair my original tachometer.
(3 wire. Red, Blk, Blu (Blu/Red Stripe)
I could splice the wiring, but I'd prefer to correct and connect it properly.
Any information is appreciated.

Thank you

For Sale new reproduction wires from Kevin Marti.
I received these in error by using the vehicle selection drop down from their website.
(KM site still has this issue. )

Unfortunately they are dated wrong for my my GT 500KR.  These are dated 4Q-67.
I didn't check the date initially and tossed the original bag.  They are now in a 2Q68 bag.
They would not accept returns for opened packages.
New, never used.
Selling at $45 or best offer.

SOLD!!!!
Thank you for all of the inquiries..

Thank you.  That helps.
I was trying to understand the machining date stamp on the case. (located near the side cover rear section)
The letter stamped for the month is not great.
Guessing it might be an "E" or possibly a "B".

See attached photo of this same case.

Format: month, day, year, shift

Decoded: "E or ?", 26, 1966, 3rd shift.

Thank you!

I could use some help with interpretation of the case and tail shaft dates.

- decode the different casting date formats used for the T10 transmission?

Specifically the 'clock type' format used before and after letter 'month' and number 'day'
Attached a case casting date for discussion..

Thank you

Would build dates and casting dates of these transmissions be based on the car build date?

Typically 1-3 weeks before the car assembly date, or would this vary based on these transmissions being unique to the GT350?
Possibly they were built in batches and wouldn't follow what is typical of "standard mustang K code sub assemblies".

Thanks
