Here is a marked up photo of the front and back of a take off lens that I think was original to an XR7-G I had.

I'm not sure what this was used on (Calif specials?) but it is a circa 68 also but the clear ENGLAND lens. I bought this one for the early housing.

I believe that is what is often referred to as the "Spot Lense" or "Long Range" version.

See the lower right hand corner of the vintage ad that I posted earlier.

^^^ as Pete said - but FWIW the covers used rubber straps.

Very, very difficult to get the straps around the lights when installed in the G front valance.

Just when you thought you'd heard it all - Shelby American issued a new serial plate to update a Cobra from a 1966 to a 1967?

Would love to hear more about that!
