I think the expectation of finding an original 60 year old dealer sticker might be a little lofty, but stranger things have happened.

Your best bet is probably recreating it by contacting an artist and then having some made.

Im going to say its at least as large as one cell of the 1968 taillight, maybe larger

There are a few variations of this, best to follow the example Pete posted if this is to go on the back of a car.  Need a height and width measurement to get started.

Is this black ink on silver mylar material?  Is the there a "brushed" finish in the silver Mylar or is that just hazy/faded?

Also, you probably already know this but that dealership is still around - plus family members living in the northern VA area.

You could try reaching out to them.

Still needs work, a quick look...still needs work/adjustments. Red line is die line (cut path) white inside that would be silver of material.

Still need height and width measurements??? and is the base material smooth silver mylar???

Some adjustments made.

Still need height and width measurements of the sticker itself or at least the height of the tail panel, width of a tail light segment and the distance from the top of the SHELBY letters to the bottom lip of the tail panel???

Also, is the base material smooth silver mylar???

The blue GT500 is 1653.

Here is the original road test picture for that car. I identified it by this decal and a few other items.

Tim says the height of the decklid face is 5 7/8" at the end cap seam.  You can see the decal takes up most of that space.

The cells for the tailights are 3.5 (wide)  x 4.0 (tall) That should get you in the ball park.  Not sure if its white or silver, I would go with a silver and not chrome.

I think probably 4 inches is a good guess for height. I opened this picture in paint and you can show grid squares and see how they compare to the taillight cells.

I see a little more above the decal and less below (like 3/4" below and 1 1/8" above)
