folks, anyone have a opinion one way or the other about where to get a set of 4 style steel wheels for a 1965 Coupe? I see them online in several places, roughly similar price.... thanks for your thoughts! Scott

I usually order from Virginia Mustang...now acquired by Kentucky Mustang.

Your two big choices are either Scott Drake or Wheel Vintique (Coker).  The real decision used to be who painted the charcoal inserts with the most correct color.

I think there are good and bad with both wheel manufacturers, but they probably cancel each other out.  I don't think you can go wrong with either company.

I bought my set in 2010 from Coker as a wheel and tire package.  I am not sure if they were Wheel Vintique back then since they were bouncing back and forth between different companies due to back ordering.

I would lean toward the Vintique over the Drake.

Check John's Mustang in Houston. Freight cost will influence your decision.

I just saw this, but maybe it will still help. I'm going to assume you are talking about the original size in 14 x 5.

The Wheel Vintique versions were easily the nicest ones on the market...and USA made. Unfortunately, they dropped the 5 inch wide rim. I believe that you can still get 6 and 7 inch wide versions...at least when they are in stock.

Wheel Vintiques were acquired by the firm that owns Coker.

We never handled the current, imported versions from Drake.
