Original 1967 air cleaner lid with correct mold circles. $450 plus shipping. The dark areas above the COBRA letters are just a shadow. Please ask me any questions.

I don't know if you know it, but there are early and late ones.

If it starts it's streetable.

Yes, there were two different lid types. The early lids were sand cast. This is a die cast lid used on 1967 Shelby's after car number 600.

After approximately car number 600 would be more accurate because there is not a hard number known. It could be a little earlier or a little later. It is certainly around that time however since there is no factory documentation on the the change that I am aware of personal observations and picture evidence of the era will have to suffice.

I would like to because of how it looks LOL but yes that sand cast lid was used on a handful of the first GT500's before the Cobra marked one appeared.

I have another slightly different version also. I don't know if it's an original that someone added the emblem to or not.

That one is a different distinct type that was not used on the 67 GT500. If you take the Thunderbird emblem off you are left with the holes  in the casting used to secure the emblem. Even though there is a cut out in the other style there are not holes in the casting to secure a emblem.

I'm not familiar with this configuration (though perhaps I just don't get out enough!  ::) ) and I'm thinking, though there 'are' many different examples as produced by F.M.C., the "289" emblem example here is not an original configuration of air cleaner units they produced.  And it would also appear the air cleaner lid relief for that emblem is not the same profile as that for the "Thunderbird" or the "checkered flagged 427 Bird" badges as are more commonly encountered, so it's not just a matter of swapped emblems and is perhaps modified or just not an O.E.M. item either?    :-\

But, I've been wrong before!  ::)

Getting into the weeds on this . The topic was about selling a Shelby air cleaner. Everything else is off topic.  It would be better to start a new topic to discuss the non Shelby air cleaner differences.
