1969 Mustang Mach 1 R Code 428 Cobra jet ram air project car with 30-year accumulation of NOS Ford parts, repo parts and extra original parts.  9R02R176569 was built in San Jose and stayed in California since new, but is now located in Kennewick, Washington 99336.  Clear CA title.  Candy Apple red with red interior.  Other than the 428CJ/Auto, options include tachometer, fold down rear seat and power steering and brakes.  BODY: Both fender apron VINs and original VIN plate are there. Was hit in the rear and both quarters and part of the passenger side rocker were poorly replaced off a donor fastback many years ago. I would replace both quarters and either a full or splice the passenger side rocker. May need outer wheelhouses.  The car is a SoCal car and is mostly rust free except the floors-looks like water got into the car and the rear floor pans have rust through from inside out and the front pans have rust, but not as bad as the rears. I would just patch the floors rather than doing full floors.  Good pair of doors, five good fenders, two cowl panels, good hood. good deck lid, 5+ end caps and 5+ headlight buckets, good front valance with 2 NOS rear valances.  INTERIOR:  Good front/rear seats and rear interior quarter fiberglass panels.  Looks like two sets of the just the fold down panels/hardware. Rear trap door has speaker holes.  Tach dash and passenger side woodgrain panel is there as is the lower dash and brake pedal and support. Used door panels in poor condition. No dash pad.  All seat belts.  Original steering wheel and column. Steering wheel needs to be restored.    Glass and door hardware are there.  DRIVETRAIN:  Original engine is gone-not sure if the trans is original or not-there is no tag on it.  Engine:  9E1 dated reinforced 428 Block with "C" scratch.  1U 428 Crankshaft.  Rebuilt CJ rods with ARP bolts.  C8OE-N CJ heads, but dated 68.  CJ iron intake dated 9E9 (I would find a 9D dated intake). Correct dated Holley 4280 carb, Nice original CJ exhaust manifolds. Rebuilt 9D water pump, 69 dated timing cover and 69 balancer.  Rebuilt and dated correct C8OF J distributor and 4441S Carter X fuel pump.  Original snorkel, C9ZE fan and fan clutch.  Original shaker scoop & ring. Midplate may be a repo-not sure.  PS cooler. Some pulleys, brackets and PS pumps.  Has a radiator may not be correct, but comes with correct top and bottom tanks and sides off a correct radiator (needs the core).  Trans:  Correct PGB-AF1 C6 with cast iron tailshaft and R servo.  Rear axle: Has, I think, a 28 spline 9 inch in the car, but the original N Case housing and 31 spline axles are there.   Brakes and suspension:  All there.  NOS parts:  The following is just some of the items. NOS Ford 69 gas tank w/sender. Grille and headlight surrounds. ALL grille & hood moldings/brightwork, rocker moldings, tail light lenses, window regulators, door hinges, 2 rear valances (one red oxide and one black e-coat), back up lights, lower control arms, some suspension parts, hood hinges, transverse muffler, shaker seal, dipstick & tube, interior and exterior door handles,  rimblow repair switch, all power steering hoses, speedo cable, "cobra jet" emblems for shaker scoop, pop open gas cap, flex plate (pie style),  washer reservoir, headlight bucket,  some weatherstrip, oil pan, intake splash shield and windage tray, Carlite windshield, door scuff plates, wheel lip moldings, wiper arms, plus a lot of small NOS parts. I have a fairly complete list of the parts in the totes which I can email to you. There are also a bunch of repo parts such a complete wiring (interior, engine, spark plugs, battery cable) visors, exhaust tips, 4 repro 15 inch Magnum 500s and much more.  I also have a list of the repo parts.  Except for typical replacement items all the major parts are there except the console, Shaker air cleaner base, lid, heat riser & S tube, smog system, driveshaft and AM radio. Comes with 4 chrome slotted Mach 14 inch rims with incorrect GT caps. Many duplicate parts.  Yes, I know it needs a lot of work and the price may seem high, but all the NOS, repro and duplicate parts I think are around 10K. Piecing together a complete 428CJ, CJ C6 and N case for less than 10K is hard these days. If done correctly, this car is worth around 100K.  Will roll onto a trailer and can help load.  Contact me with any questions and a link to an album of pictures & parts list if you are truly interested and know what the car and parts are worth.  Have Marti report.

Wow, kind of crazy.  Put money down and walk.  Did that person ever physically look at the car?

Good luck with your sale, my close friend has sold on BAT in the past and reports it was easy.

How rare would you say that a Red on Red 69 Mach 1 CJ is.  I owned 2 Red 69 Mach 1 R-Codes and they both had Black Interior.
