Thanks Bill.  Just seems like a lot of money for an AM radio, plus the seller's claim of it being a factory AM/FM.  You could fill the tank 8-10 times for the price of that AM radio.

The seller did post an invoice in the comment section from one month after the car was sold stating AM/FM radio not working.

When it came to radios, dealers were not shy about swapping them out (their cost at the parts counter, less than $20-$40 or so for spares bought from Ford) to make a deal happen. I can almost hear the salesman "we are so close here, what if I upgrade the AM radio for a AM/FM or AM-8 track, sign here, and it can be in your driveway tomorrow night".

 factory Am/fm and  am 8- track also had a dual speaker system in doors and extra wiring that took more labor to install all adding to extra cost.

Ed, you must be thinking of 1968. AM/FM in 1967 was mono so it didn't require the extra wiring or duel speakers.
