Front wheel drive? Rear wheel drive with open differential?
"Low she sits on five spoke wheels
Small block eight so live she feels
There she's parked beside the curb
Engine revving to disturb
She's the princess from his past
Red paint gold stripes damned she's fast"

I first thought it possibly was a trailer with locked-up inside brake.

Note the narrow tread, really tight turning circle, and no loading (tire marks) from an outside tire as would probably be there with a counter-clockwise circle-burnout.

But, closer inspection has me thinking it IS from someone's mom's Prius with soy latte dribbled on the inside front tire so it'll spin.

Nothing with a ton of torque, that's for sure.

Motorcycle?  I have seen similar road tatoos left by motorcycles in our neighborhood, usually in middle of smaller intersections and done late at night. 8)

98SVT - was 06GT

Fess up - no one else in that Walmart parking lot owns a car with enough power to break a tire loose.

But...don't motorcycle burnouts start with dropping the clutch (like in a car) and leaving the darkest tire marks at the beginning of the donut?

Yes, the marks can continue around and around again in a circle, until the rider gets dizzy.

Or, fade off as the bike accelerates out of the circle.

These marks started barely spinning/skidding at all, then got heavier out of the circle, and laid down the darkest part of the stripe toward the end.

IMO: Not a motorcycle.    Maybe a SBF-powered unicycle?  :P

I m enjoying the forensic reconstruction possibilities presented by you gentlemen.  I am thinking some small import perhaps.  More likely a car I think.
