I figure Eric sent some of his high res photos of #50 . Look at the alternator fan blade in that picture.

I'm sure these photos have been discussed many times before but I don't recall. Couple questions I have as my car is built SJ 2 days later and Shelby 4 days earlier
1. Battery ok obviously
2 No service spec decal?
3. Brake booster hose has keystone clamp at booster but none visible engine side (maybe black spring clamp)
4. PS dipstick appears to have remnants of paint on it

Yes odd. In the pictures the car appears to have been used pretty well by the time the pictures were taken. Does the paint on the drivers side shock tower look odd, damage and touched up or something else to others. 

Can report that other cars built prior to and just after have the original service decals in place. Can post examples but don't think its needed at this point. If it was missed don't think we have a pattern here as of yet

And yes the location of the battery inspection sticker is very very odd. Guy mush have been in the middle of a conversation with someone else or he dropped it and it landed there. That is a location we sometimes see the hood sticker be reattached after it falls off the hood and the owner just sticks it somewhere else

Hello,

The two high angle engine bay photos were taken by Bob D'Olivo for Sports Car Graphic on 12/13/66 for their March '67 issue.  So, the car was a month and four days old at the time.  Before Sports Car Graphic had the car, it had been road tested by Popular Hot Rodding and the article and photo with the air cleaner removed appears in their February '67 issue.

...to that point, as an early car it seems that it would have the '66 version as very early cars did.

I do not see anything that resembles a black spring clamp .It would be safe to say that both clamps are of the crimp type like typically seen on other examples. Both Ford Thompson (blue) and TRW (black) painted PS pumps were used during 67 Shelby production. I have seen many of both. The black paint remnants seen on the dip stick indicate it is a black painted TRW pump given that was the typical way completely painted thump pull seated in pump TRW pumps came. Tim knows this but for those reading paint did not stick well and flaked off quickly on unprimered zinc plated parts like the PS thumb pull dip sticks .

Yes, odd because typically the transition to the dichromate fan and pulley took place in later 66 production . Prior to that it was black fan and black pulley.
