I want to replace the rubber seals on my front fender splash shields.  The rubber seal kits come with stainless steel staples.  How does one go about installing these staples?  Is there a tool?

No tool

And I have not seen the stapler for metal yet

You have to do it by hand.  Use a needle to poke hole through rubber and feed staple through and bend.  Yes, it sounds painful.  I posted the same question sometime ago and got similar responses.

Best of luck

Just replicate the original look (with the curled ends) by hand. You might want to make new staples since originals were not stainless. But your choice

if installing on existing/original metal, use the old holes and push through the rubber and fold ends over with small tack hammer on a hard surface.  Did that on two cars, worked well.

The trick is curling the ends to make them look like they were installed with a staple gun.  Laying the ends down flat would be incorrect.  Requires 2 pairs of pliers, one to hold the middle of the staple while curling the first end and then curl the other side.
