JD, thanks for posting, are you sure that's 1054 ? not maybe 1055 ? here's a photo I have in my files marked as 1055 at Hamon Ford, Texas City.

Mike, Yes - P/1054 according to the Guy that hauled it to some of the dealerships on the tour (including Marshall), Fran Kress, a past owner, and the SAAC GT40 Registrar.  There is an article in the Winter 2017 of The Shelby American titled "...like a box of Chocolates..." that is relevant to this car.  Was P/1055 also part of one of the tours ?

Confusing - this photo is in the Registry as P/1055...

JD & SFM66H , thanks for you replies, that is where the confusion lies, I have the 4th edition of the registry, the information there

and the photo seems to be the same car, but with different numbers ( as described in registry) then the one posted by JD. Here's

another photo I have in my files. In the Spain GT40 book (my copy, '92 edition) the descriptions of 1054 & 1055 are completely

different from the SAAC book, there are sixteen years between the two.

Thanks, I hadn't see any images of P/1055

Cool old pix.  But, there wasn't too much exciting going on at a Ford dealer in 1960.  I like the one-year-only Galaxie styling, but I'd rather wait for the '61 T-Bird.

Ah, come on, 1960 was a good year; we had a '60 wagon when I was young, I would like to find a '60 Starliner, and I currently own a Thunderbird "J"-code,.......... the "Bulldozer" for 1960!      8)

I wouldn't mind having that wagon on the left...

My dad swapped the automatic for a 4-speed on our '60 wagon (green & white), but never finished the project (sold it first) as the bench seat no longer fit, so he "installed" a concrete block for seating; but I was to light, so when I attempted to push the clutch pedal in, the block and my arse just slid backwards!      ::)

Thanks - I have to find where I saved it to post.  A photo of Gas and his car on the showroom floor. He was also a salesman at Russ Davis. Within the past year the dealership has been leveled and condos erected. The blocks of homes have names such as Shelby Lane, Falcon Place, Henry Drive and Galaxie Way. So at least there is still a Ford connection. https://www.cityventures.com/community/atwood/
