They say it was ordered in 65 & they even call it a Gt350 at one point

Shelby GT500 . This Shelby GT500 (serial number 6S079) is striking in Wimbeldon White with blue factory stripes. This is one amazing find, purchased by prior owner in 1978 and 33 years later traded to us, when was the last early "carry over" 66 you saw with this kind of long term ownership history?!

6S079 was ordered in October 1965 and shipped to a dealership in Pennsylvania, she had factory stripes and rear seats as options. After traveling through several new car dealers hands she was eventually sold to her first owner in late 1966. This owner had 6S079 for several years before having a fender bender and retiring her to his garage until owner #2 acquired sometime after.

Owner #2 purchased the Shelby in 1978 needing to have her bodywork repaired, he set out to make her complete again using all Ford nos body parts/panels. Once all was compiled the car was sent to a well known restoration shop to be completed and and this stunning Shelby GT350 came out a concourse winning car being shown for the first time at SAAC-12 Charlotte 7/87.

Owner #2 drove and enjoyed the car on the show circuit, track, and around town for the next 9 years then sent her back to the restoration shop to be freshened up once again in 2007, the car had fresh paint applied and looks beautiful today, 4 years later.

6S079 is a very rare early 66 "carry over" car, if not familiar with these cars, you should do your research, one of the rarest of the Shelby GT500's and 1 of only a couple hundred she is a great piece to drive and enjoy or put into your collection as a center piece representative of the best of Carrol Shelby's products of the 60's.

Today, this GT500 is aged a bit but needing nothing, we are installing a new factory style exhaust system and detailing the car, otherwise she will be sold as-is.

Another clueless seller, and doesn't realize the photos are of the wrong car.

Well, Mustangs were described as "secretary cars."  Maybe an uninformed secretary typed up the ad.  Something got lost somewhere in the translation.  I try to always proof my material before release.  For all we know, some a.i. program changed what was previously typed in as correct.  Artificial intelligence has a very long way to go....But there are big differences between a 6s and a gt500.  The truth is out there...
"Low she sits on five spoke wheels
Small block eight so live she feels
There she's parked beside the curb
Engine revving to disturb
She's the princess from his past
Red paint gold stripes damned she's fast"

This has got to be a scam... A bad scam at that.
Nothing beats a classic!

Better still, the pictures are of a diecast model and not a car.
