Ford started with 100,000
Merc started with 500,000

To my best knowledge.
I would tend to agree Krelboyne
Is this the first futuristic exotic in the world?
Size of an ac cobra, but built in 1935 !

Yes, Z for St Louis. I could only come up with Marquis for 1968?

68cobra427,
I am curious, where did you find the 8Z569944  serial number?

Was it on a flat spot on the block, below the head deck on the rear on the drivers side?

Maybe stamped letters about 1/8 tall or so?
respectfully,
John

The block is 9 days before the release of our 68 Shelby. Too close for a period correct.

The Hawaii Five-O car! Did  you know that car has a starter delay? It was in a magazine years ago and there was an under hood shot. Was mostly original at the time.
