I suspect you want some like the original assembly line based on posts you have made previously.I also suspect that you are not aware of the differences between most "NOS" and assembly line like "NOS".  You should be familiar with what those assembly line parts actually look like so you can make an informed purchase. The later services parts like many parts evolved over time to look different than the assembly line. The wire portion appearance is different. I am away from my picture files so I will let others compare. I find used ones which may have pitted chrome but a nice wire and separate the two by uncrimping the bulb receptacle and replate the metal zinc dicromate. I take a less expensive repro and use as a donor for the nice chrome portion and replace the receptacle and its wire. Once mounted it looks assemblyline. That of course is the short version of the process. I believe there may be a tutorial on the concours Mustang forum.

Bob, Thanks for pointers.  I saw that tutorial and was indeed contemplating dissecting my originals to harvest the correct wiring. But I wasnt sure about the accuracy and finish quality of the chrome repo housings.

Guessing the tutorial your referring to was this article. Doesn't seem like its been almost twenty years since we posted this but time does pass quickly. Glad it was of help and hope it will continue helping others as an option.

We been taking originals apart and rechroming them unless pitted .

Maybe I am the only one but the problem I have had with rechroming the original housings in the past has been first finding examples that will rechrome without pin holes showing up which is a diecast rechroming problem. Than you have the problem of the chromer in the polishing process rounding off the edges of the part and in case of the reverse light housing the leading edge by the lens. It shows up on door handles and the back up light housings in particular.

Don't have high expectations about Ford assembly line chrome plating otherwise you many times will be let down.
