GT 350 literature

I used to own GT 350 number 48. I have an original owners manual, two of the multicolored 1965 registered owners manual a no spin differential operators manual and an original Shelby AC Cobra sales brochure with the well dressed woman with her tiara standing in front of a light colored Cobra. I'm trying to figure out the value of these items before I list them for sale. They are all in very good condition. Thanks, Gregg Blue, Maui, Hawaii.

The no spin and 1965 GT350 Manuals are quite valuable, but you have to be in the market for these items to really know their dollar worth - condition means a lot. The last I checked the GT350s manual and no spin were both worth well over $1200 each for perfect examples.

Could the original poster put up a picture of the front and back covers open on the GT350 manual? That will determine authenticity.

I'm saying I got all of these documents from Steve Foristall in Texas who was a major expert on GT 350s. I bought number 48 from him years ago and these documents came with it. When I sold it, I didn't even realize I still had them. All of these documents are originals and not copies. I checked at Mecum auctions and the Blue owners manual can be worth anywhere from $3500-$4500. As far as the multicolored registered owners manual, one of them has a place for the new owner to fill out the information on the inside of the Cover and the other one says "keep the owner card in this packet" so it must've had an owner card on it one time. I don't know the difference between the one with the place to fill out your name and the one that used to have the owner's card. Any information would be helpful

Not to impugn the dead but Steve Foristall RIP was far from a major GT350 expert. He hired me several times to evaluate cars over the years and along with my other interactions with him besides those evaluations gave me a clear idea of his knowledge level on the 65-70 Shelby cars. With that said any informed buyer will expect to be able to verify the originality of the 65 GT350 manual before a transaction. There are a number of "tells" to verify a genuine manual. Some of those tells are commonly known and others not so much so as to discourage fakes.  A refusal to provide some simple pictures certainly doesn't help confidence.

Open the two 65 Mustang manuals to the pages explaining the warranty. The 65 and 66 Mustang manuals that came with 65-66 GT350's often, but not always, have "VOID FOR GT350" ink stamped in red on those pages. Doesn't mean they aren't original if not stamped but is a good clue of originality if they are IMO.

Does the front and back cover "found out" like a magazine center fold or not? The answer to that question dictates wither you have a real manual or a reproduction.
