Thunderbird Special Landau to be included in Simeone Museum Exhibit

(I guess a few folks might recognize this car from SAAC49, the 2014 NorthEast Regional meet, or other Simeone events)
The Simeone Foundation Museum (Philly) is focusing all of the special Exhibits and Demonstration Days this year on the USA in recognition of America 250.
A new exhibit opens this week - called "American Dream".
This allows a little wiggle room past the Museum's regular "Sports Racing Cars".
When they asked for folks to submit their cars and why it fits the theme - I thought - what could be more American Dreamy than a T-bird?
I submitted an application and was excited to be accepted.
We took the 'Bird over this afternoon, was the last of the first-day arrivals. Other cars will join in thru this week... can't wait to see what else will be there.

The "Official Opening" of the Exhibit coincides with the "Salt Flats" Demonstration Day on Saturday 8/11... should be a good time. The Daytona Coupe will - of course - be part of the Festivities.

Cool, a bird in Emberglow.  I didn't even know they put Emberglow on birds in 66 and I certainly have never seen one in my daily travels.

Filling in a few details...
Car is a 1965 Thunderbird "Special Landau" (Limited Edition; plaque says # 1485 of 4500)
Emberglo was only available on this Limited Edition run in 1965 (could get it on any T-bird in '66 IIRC).

I think that I was very lucky with the Museum's placement... that paint looks 'way better in bright light, it must be right under one 
One of the volunteers noted my SAAC sticker in the side window... then I realized that the 'Bird is just a few feet from the Daytona Coupe (as seen in photo above)

I really thought that the Thunderbird was a perfect fit per the "theme" of this exhibit. I printed copies of 2 magazine ads and put them on the dash. That "the Private World of Thunderbird" tagline appears in every ad that I've seen... and the wording in them seems "dreamy"

If one as never taken one of these big birds apart, then you can't imagine the layers of sound deadening and quality components.  Their construction make Mustangs look like go karts.
