Small block eight so live she feels
There she's parked beside the curb
Engine revving to disturb
She's the princess from his past
Red paint gold stripes damned she's fast"

It's getting old fast.

Of which it was neither. But it is a Shelby Mustang and relevant to the hobby for what it's worth.

+1 ... I got about 7 or 8 minutes into this video yesterday before I decided not to waste any more of my time of yet another D/C "holy grail" fairytale. ::)

I'm tired of Dennis and gas monkey, but not as tired of our x florida poster. Congrats to to the silencer

Coralsnake

I like he is already saying he has a supercharged 67 GT 350.

Is there any doubt that will be at auction?

I watched the video a few times before this posting and thought about the following. The car was an early build so it did not have tilt steering.  My question is, Dennis says because the car does not have tilt steering this will detract from his offer. Would this really reduce the value of the car?

No. He seems confuse about a lot of things in the video. He incorrectly identifies the GT500 Hertz fastback as "502" (that is incorrect) to start with...I guess if you are going to hunt for holy grail cars, you should know the numbers.

Its a negotiating tactic at best, this car was on eBay just a few years ago.

He also suggests they were trying to copy the only GT500 Hertz car. First, most people don't even know that car existed, second it was neither black nor had GT500H stripes to the best of my knowledge

Are you talking about the acapulco blue convertible (KR)?

He is just another used car salesman... The Collins and Rollins duo is just merely some entertainment. Neither of them knows how to work on a car, They dont repair, restore, or race anything as far as what they share! They have some entertainment value for me, because both are sort of quirky enough to hold just enough attention... to waste a couple minutes of my day to see what they are up to. I am probably not going to be buying some of his coffee or other merch, but I would have a Beer with either of them just for some updates on life in Texas!

Tlea there was also a GT500 fastback # 506 sent to Hertz, also Acapulco Blue

I've received, unsolicited, stupid offers for my black,'68, 4-speed. Often taken aback when told the car is not for sale at any price.  I wouldn't give this twit the time of day.  Oddly, one person was driven to own it by the exhaust tone at speed.

It doesn't become a grail car until he's hyping the sale. When he's buying it's a POS.

There is a new Texan on the scene - John Clay Wolfe. Seems like a decent honest guy. I'm worried he's going to go to the dark side hanging around with DC & RR. https://www.youtube.com/@john_clay_wolfe
He does need a lot of education and some decent mechanics - watch his Coupe video with the "Cobra" engine.

Was there any way to corroborate that his '67 is the car he claims it to be? Will SAAC confirm that car to be what he claims when the only thing that indicates it may be is the transmission? Everything else on that car had been replaced, what makes them so sure that the transmission is original to the car?
