You never know if and when something comes up that has stayed hidden for a long time. For in-stance I found the number (1) AC cobra 289 car in Portland Oregon and missed purchasing it by 2 weeks. It was raced at PIR and stored in pieces in an enclosed trailer next to the house. The orig owner passed from cancer. It sold for $450K and shipped to California.

Next someone could try to locate Ray Wolff of Hi-Performance son and see if he still has any of the business paperwork stored away that would show a sale of the car in 1971.

I've also heard others have already tracked down his (Ray Wolf) son.

I'm not aware if that revealed anything or not.

First of all if car ever appeared the burden of proof would be the car itself. I don't anyone is going to just say "oh yeah thats it"

Agreed but people will buy anything if someone "allegedly" credible signs off on it. Its in my little black book of all the fakes I've found over the years the list of "credible" sign offs

The very first Carroll Shelby Cobra car.

68cobra427

Found this about Ray Wolff, he built this race car and the front half is a 67 Shelby GT500 back is a coupe.

Not Morrisons car since the Shelby number is listed on the second picture.

Has anyone reached out to the Mexican Mustang Registry and asked is there any 67 GT500 cars in their club.

Since Eduardo Velazquez was one of the top supplier of Shelby parts, Carroll and Ray Wolff were all good friends. Carroll even went down to Mexico to watch races.

Since Eduardo was the top man for Mexican Shelby one might think he or someone he knew would want a 67 Shelby GT500.

I understand that once there the Shelby tag was taken off and a Mexico tag was put on with 17 digits. Unlike the US.
Possibly the Shelby orig tag and California plates are still with the car. Or not!

I Understand Carroll nor Ray Wolff would send a new Shelby down to Mexico but what is to say in 1971 a used one was not shipped. If it was I would guess Mexico City area.

I do not speak Spanish. So this is far as I can go.

I've not seen any Shelby product where they took off the Shelby tag and replaced with on for Mexico. Typically for export cars (not ones shipped after the first sale) they leave the original typical tag in the engine compartment, for this example, and add another plate or sticker. Now Mustangs are a completely different animal since that was Ford international to align or fallow Mexico's requirements since those cars were or could be built in multiple locations around the world though typically finished or built in Mexico from my understanding. Wo0uld guess that if you wanted a Shelby and walked into Velazquez's shop he would have attempted to steer you to one of the Mexican Shelby coupes. More profit for them that way.

Don't believe that at the time Mexico required a used (well used) 67 Shelby to be revinned once it was moved and registered in Mexico. Can't think of any country that required that in the 60's or early 70's.

Maybe hard to say. But since Carroll helped sneak a 377 protype engine from ford into a 69 De Mexico car. When Carroll and Eduardo Velazquez ended their business together in the end of 1971. What would stop Ray Wolff of selling a used Shelby into Mexico.  As we can see he did get to drive the best cars when he came to see Carroll.
List in this article. 427 Cobra for one. Why would someone from Mexico not want a BB 67 Shelby.

In my mind it was possible. But that is just me.

Mexico changed the rules in 1972.  If Ray Wolff sold Morrisons car into Mexico he may have done it in the last 3 months of 1971. Right before Mexico did this.

Here is what we want. The last 3 months of video in 1971 at the boarder going into Mexico from the boarder patrol crossings.

Well I wish. LOL ;D
