I now own a 2025 Ford Mustang Eco-Boost Fastback in Grabber Blue Metallic. I am in the process of turning it into a Day Track Car for the Novice Driver (me). First Update so far are the New Shoes.  I went from 18"x8" Wheels with 235-50R-18 Tires to 18x9.9-18 Wheels with 245/45 ZR18 KUMHO Tires. I think I will move up 1 or 2 more Sizes on the Tires and might even change Brands.

When you arise in the morning, think of what a precious privilege it is to be alive to breathe, to think, to enjoy, to love.

Looks like a fun car to run in the Silver State Classic.
"Low she sits on five spoke wheels
Small block eight so live she feels
There she's parked beside the curb
Engine revving to disturb
She's the princess from his past
Red paint gold stripes damned she's fast"

Personally, as someone who has been racing for 40+ years, I would have kept the stock rims and tires if they were not aged out and learned the handling characteristics of the car before I started making any modifications. As for what you installed, I suspect the rims are not the correct offset, which is going to throw your handling off a bit at anything above posted highway speeds. As for you being a novice, remember, consistency comes first, speed comes second.

Enjoy the ride

I have been on several Road Courses quite a few times, I consider myself a Novice because I have only been up to 120mph down the Straights and don't care to go more than that.  I am pretty good in the Turns and know how hard I can push my Car on the Track.  My favorite Road Course so far has been Barber Motorsports Park Track in Birmingham Alabama, been on it 3 times now.
