Just curious, would new Shocks (NOS) have Painted Threads?

Coralsnake

New shocks had painted threads. I suspect these have been repainted.

I have not seen the white ID marks before.

I'm looking for 9F02M480004. Have you seen it?

Those boss 429 shocks he is selling are not correct. Boss 429 shocks are a different length and are kkx or c9zx id.

I see price was lowered as they been for sale for awhile. They were restamped shocks as several guys were stamping shocks or lazer cutting them whatever over the years with wrong information as with the ebay shocks no 9ma date code on any kkx shocks as c9zx shocks replaced kkx shocks in april 69. I helped dan patch with all correct id#s and date codes back years ago since he was trying to make them as correct as he could since he was a vette guy restoreing only vette shocks at first until he seen the demand for boss and shelby shocks so i took shocks to him and visited him since he lived down the road from my brothers who race cars in KC. Since dan has slowed down i am helping them MN shock guys now also.

KKX shock seller is "fast Freddie".

The Z7ZD A shocks in ebay are dated too late to be 68 shocks.

Wondering if these are authentic or the previous work of Dan Patch.  Ebayer is listing some rare stuff but only has 1 transaction review so a bit of an unknown.  Id think a guy with these  sorts of parts would be known by this crowd. Anyone ?

After comparing stamping font alignment adjutment disc etc Im of the opinion the z7zd shocks on ebay are replicas of early 69 shelby.  Still likely worth good coin but

Was checking for the same details but the alignment of lines and letters as well as fonts for a couple of numbers/letters vary on the originals I have examples of. What I do see on the ones for sale is that they seem to be the same fonts as some of the examples of the reproduction I have pictures of but those are for earlier years and I'm unsure if Dan used the same pattern/layout, of the lower info, on all or he did them differently for different years.

Of course using picture to confirm details can be difficult since the curvature of the shocks makes for a challenge in this sort of checking and comparing of details.
