I've ended up with a set of 1966 Shelby GT350 Hertz wheels. Wondering what the value on a set of 4 with no center caps would be.

I wish I could figure out how to load pics.

Edit: These are the chrome magnum 500 style with the wide correct band or hoop.

Also don't get mislead by possibly good heart members who don't have all the facts about what wheels came on the typical Hertz 66 and what value those wheels have resulted in.

I agree that those are not Hertz Shelby wheels. They have the wrong offset.

Question: When is a 1966 Hertz photograph, showing a car not originally built as a 1966?

Answer: When it is a prototype, one off with 1965 Cragar wheels.

During my last through review of the current 1966 registry, I don't recall seeing any with 10-spokes. At least none jumped out at me. However, I could be wrong. I'd appreciate it if anyone with knowledge to the contrary could provide a VIN for the exception to the rule. Thanks.

The pictured wheels are not correct wheels for a 66 GT350 Hertz .The pictured wheels are many times confused with the correct Hertz wheels. They are the correct rim but the offset is different. They were a Mopar wheel. They would typically be deducted for the same as a regular Magnum would be in a concours venue. Those are the Facts. Their value would be more then a regular magnum of the same size and condition IMO but not substantially more. "IF" the chrome was nice I would rather have the Mopar wheels over the regular Magnum of the same condition IMO. If the chrome is not up to par there is not advantage to having them IMO.That is one persons opinion who wears a judges cap from time to time others may have different.

I thought I would mention for those not familiar with the process that the thought of taking a Mopar wheel and restoring it with the correct offset to make a correct looking Hertz wheel have unrealistic expectations. The wheels have to be cut apart to be rechromed properly. The area where the rim was welded as a Mopar wheel will be exposed and visible in the Hertz offset configuration. The distortion in the metal at that point typically becomes highly visible even after chrome polishing process. That defect will not show well once mounted .This in not AI speaking but actual experience. ;)  Needless to say the defect would be deducted for in a concours venue.

I'm certainly no expert but they look exactly like the ones on the black barn find GT350H from a few years back...

Sorry I am not comfortable being the price guy so I have to decline. Maybe others.

Not exactly the same to me they don't. It is hard to tell for sure on the crusty wheel picture but the offset appears more then your picture, regardless the pictures of the ones you posted are clear enough to tell for sure as not correct offset. It is a small amount but to those that have seen ,searched for and studied this specific wheels that small difference stands out.

Bob, I'm not doubting you.  I'm here to learn.
Rather than just saying "it is a small amount" can you be more specific? I genuinely would like the know. Thank you.

1/4 inch or so more of offset is a small amount. I will try and post a picture of a correct wheel.
