Looking to determine a correct detail for the metal engine tag on a 351W. The car is a 1969 Shelby GT 350 automatic with air conditioning. The build date for the car is January 13, 1969. I want to determine if the metal engine tag should go between the passenger side head and the coil bracket "or" between the coil bracket and under the bolt head? The pictures I have been able to find show the tag sticking pretty much straight up.
Thanks for your help.

My observation on the unmolested cars that I have seen has been that the tag went between the coil bracket and under the bolt head. It seems like I remember seeing a illustration in a manual somewhere that illustrates this. I will let others search that out.

Posted over on CMF for the same request so thought I would repost the pictures here

Can't say that all were mounted between the coil bracket and the block but it appears, at this point, that was the intention.  Have found them instead between the bolt and the coil bracket as shown in the unrestored 1969 351 examples below. Both Shelbys are 9F02M48125x-48128x and the third is a very very nice unrestored under 20K 69 M code

Appears to me that at least one worker assigned to that task at the engine plant put them between the bolt and coil bracket.  Guess I could look for more but recall these three being posted last time and why I choose that location for 481897
