Yes, real, still wearing it's original paint. I am friends with the son of the original owner and posted that picture a few years ago.

I have all UNGOLD cars

Not a SHELBY expert

Imitation is the sincerest form of flattery that mediocrity can pay to greatness.

I recently inspected the unique loaded gold  with gold deluxe interior goodyear exec shelby for the new owner in florida and its a great car with original paperwork to document its build and a good story on it being built. Its still very original and low mile with some unique options electric windows and antenna and a air shock leveling system under hood with an interior  pressure gauge under dash also 15x7 boss magnum chrome wheels. This shelby was a color at A O Smith to gold and its headliner is gold also to match the gold seats so not sure when the gold headliner was installed as that would mean the windshield and rear glass would have to be removed to change it out from black or white. This car still has the original sport grip 500 steering wheel cover installed from new back at aosmith.

Special Ed

The 70 grabber orange red interior shelby was supposed to be at our INSAAC fall classic show as we got the missing incorrect parts here together for it but it was in a trade deal so not sure if it will show up now as i think its the most oddly colored unique shelby ever made and thats what makes it special.

TA Coupe

I enhanced the picture so you can see details a little bit better.

True we put "the" in front of the highway number.  However, Pacific Coast Highway is always just PCH.  Never The PCH.  Those not SoCal born and raised sometimes put "the" in front, but not us natives.

Quote from: Special Ed on September 23, 2025, 05:41:59 PMThats the car gas monkey bought while he was in oregon then flipped it and it showed up at may indy mecum and i talked a  local mopar guy into buying it as it is a very original car bought from OO. The guy who has it now has a 70 pink TA challenger and he wanted this odd colored shelby to go with the pink car.
Yeah, you told me I had to go see the car when I was at spring Mecum as I missed it earlier and almost puked when I saw it. To me it just doesn't go like white/red interior does.
