Quite an event! ...setting the tone for the NEXT 50 years.

There is much to report and we will try and post as much as possible. The scope and depth of this event is astounding.

Thanks to ALL who made this possible.

PLEASE send your pictures, stories, anecdotes to saac@saac.com

Send feedback, suggestions, etc, to pitcrew@saac.com

IN BOTH CASES, please indicate SAAC-50 in the Subject line.

It really was a great convention! Still recovering!

Jack, my son-in-law. My daughter sent me a treasure trove of pics they took over the weekend.

We had an outstanding time. Our car 6S1854 is the sixth in the row of Hertz cars, next to the white Hertz car. We were pleasantly surprised by receiving the TEAM SHELBY Pick Award. This was the first time we entered a car at a Shelby Convention.

As conventions go, it was another great convention in California, great to see so many classic Shelby's. Open track was great, the track always a challenge up top. The car shows always spectacular. NorCal was a great partner this event. Zillions of smiles on parade laps. More VIP's than usual.

The staff who worked hard and made every facet shine was OUTSTANDING!!!

But, very little looking back at the last 50 conventions. I was hoping for more.

I used to own its sister car 6S1855.
Congrats on the WIN
Owned since 1971, NOW DRIVEN OVER 250,000 MILES, makes me smile every time I drive it and it makes me feel 21 again.😎

That would have been great guess all it would have taken was for someone to stand up, volunteer to organize, store the items and memorabilia before the show, then help with returning the items since,Keeping track of what belongs to whom and,  I'm guessing, most would not be bringing all on the plan with them.

Of course another idea would be for someone to offer to collect and put together a video presentation for one of the banquets or evening shows. Of course, based on past videos, likely be a lot of "inside baseball" that many would not recognize or notice. Nothing that could not be overcome if done before too many pass before the project was finished. If this was done at this years event sorry I missed it but surely someone will mention that fact if there was.

Hopefully before the next ten years have passed, someone will see your post and get an early start for that celebration.

Great pic and great convention! Mine is always easy to pick out. I believe it was the only white, no stripe '66 there.🙂

It's ALL in the First 50 years of SAAC book. You did pick one up at the Cobra Experience event - didn't you? Kopec and Brock were signing them. Mike Shoen was there and he was signing his book that was available in the store.
I was hoping for more from the T shirt. I bought one but it's very boring.

Did anyone else purchase the signed and numbered SAAC 50 posters that were being sold in the Media Room.  Unfortunately I noticed the wrong year associated with SAAC50 (2024 vs 2025 ... see attached picture) after I arrived home and unrolled them.  I bought two of them and am curious if they are being reprinted?

Just nuts.
