Looking at the car from the front: What is the procedure of adjustment?
on the drivers side, Idle......I got that, but..
on the drivers side, I think it is a mix adjustment, small screw on the side front plate.
on the passenger side, same plate on the plate.
What is the order of adjustment, I had the carb redone/restored. The car runs great, starts nice, cold or hot, idles nice. After I go out and take it for a ride, I come home and while I am stopping at the garage, the idle slowly goes down and then stalls, restart it and it will do the same thing, I have to sort of keep it running. If I put the idle up to 1100rpm, it is OK....another thing I noticed was, coming down a hill driveway, and using the brakes, it might start to stall again, but even using the brakes, might actually be triggering the stall???? The car is fully hot with these antics start. My question is...Do I need to do a initial set up adjustment? I do not know the procedure...One other thing I feel the the mix screw on the drivers side is correct, (get the idle smoothed out)....However, the other side screw adjustment is weird, as counter clockwise adjustment raises the idle and just keeps going higher as I turn it. I do not remember that ever happening but it has been many years since I had to adjust these carbs. I do not feel that there is a vacuum leak...I have done the tapping of the bowels, nothing changed, I also am not sure how to adjust the floats, if thats the case, because of the 715's setup...(I do know how on a regular holley)...
I hope I do not get 10 different ways to set it up on this?

Setting the float level on a 715 with LeMans bowls is not easy. An improperly adjusted float level can cause leakage from the bowls into the throttle bores which is especially noticeable after the car has warmed up.

The bottom angle of the float arm is CRITICAL and you only adjust the float level with the small tab on the float arm. NOT by bending the float arm. Let me rephrase that DON'T bend the float arm on a LeMans bowl carburetor it changes ALL of the float geometry.

Now understanding that float level sets the height of the fuel in the emulsion tubes, the correct mixture throughout the curve relies on the emulsion tubes being correct.

If and it sounds like this is the case you do not know what you are doing. Then don't, find the guy that does. HOLLEY Carburetors that have external adjustable float levels can be more forgiving of amateur tuners, the LeMans bowls require knowledge and a touch.

Thanks for that info, Meaning I might have to send the carb to Drew to correct this?

Drew can definitely set you up for the float level and make it happy. I personally only do the 715 with the LeMans bowl for a handful of close friends, which is why I understand the complexity of the float level settings. In addition I can tell you that NOBODY else other than Drew has kits with parts that are worth having for the Holley.

If I restored it, email me or whatever and we can work through it.

If I didn't, honestly you should contact the builder, it's kinda on them to walk you through this.

I can still help via msg, first thing to do is set mixture hot.
Lotsa folks do it cold and wonder why engine doesn't perform as expected hot.

Randy DeLiso had the car, and I assume he sent it to you? I will ask him...I had the car out today and although the idle was slightly high it ran good...I will find out for sure...Thanks

Name doesn't ring a bell, but sometimes people fill out my work request stuff with a different name.
