Interesting Doug but are there any other pics of little red other than Riverside? I have no bone to pic either way so secretaries and employees at HiPerf motors all remember the wrong thing?

Well, as far as memories go, if I was a prosecuting attorney (which I am not) would I rely my case on the memory of someone that is likely in their "Golden age" from 60 years ago, on something that was of little significance?

Even the race cars, in Shelby's eyes, were just "used cars". When you were at the "Folies Bergere" 60 years ago, can you remember all the dancers now? Unless you married one of them of course, they all kind of looked alike didn't they? Of course, I wouldn't buy there without a test drive and I would have remembered that. Definitely, but have no pictures to "document" it!

There is a picture of lil red from back in the day, but none of the convertible, just seems odd that if they were considering convertibles
Nobody took a picture of it. They just built it and loaned it out.
Highly unlikely.

Doug, would you say your memory of the company cars in '67 at LAX is: (a) better than, (b) the same as, (c) lesser than someone that was actually there?

In summary, I'd say that their old memory is better than your no memory.

Some of y'all sound vaccinated .....

How awesome an opportunity y'all have this monumental weekend to visit with Brian, review his paperwork, see the actual car, and have an intellectual conversation about all of it.

Hi 67 Fans!
A few points that should be considered. Shelby had no longer employed a full time staff
Photographer after 1965 when Dave Friedman was shown the door. I think the 1966 convertibles were also camera shy and they made 4 of them. Remember how many years we were told there was 6 ??  Consider the 1967 car may have been kept off camera for many reasons. Why would they pay to photograph a car they could not offer for sale?
We should be thankful all these cars are still around and are shared with the public.

Just my 2 cents

This started as an interesting little story, indicating an elevated importance of some interesting cars.

As usual, our collective passion embraced the controversy.

However, I see tails are up and hair is bristling... so this has had too much air time.

Let's get some first-person reporting from SAAC-50 about the cars... and move on from last week's exhibition.
