This is just to remind everyone that our upcoming spring event is officially less than one month away!

When:   Saturday, May 10th, 2025  11:00 am to 6:00 pm
Where:  Shelton Vineyards, Dobson, NC

We have been promised stellar weather that day. (I'll be firing up the official SAAC Carolinas chemtrail aeroplanes and laying a nice thick coat of fake clouds to keep everyone cool and comfortable that day).

But seriously folks, this is an event not to be missed.  Shelton Vineyards is beautiful, and I've received numerous feedback from other people about car events they have attended there and really enjoyed.

The winery officially opens at 11:00 am, but please arrive between 9:00 and 9:30 am to begin parking vehicles.  Also, there is ample space for trailer parking.  The Hampton Inn & Suites at Shelton Vineyards is a newly renovated accommodation available to all in case you want to come in the night before, or stay over.

If anyone is interested, I'll setup a reservation at the Harvest Grill restaurant.  I've been informed that the food is excellent, though if you are trying to save money the winery is also perfect for a picnic.  Here is a copy of their current spring menu:

Also, please RSVP (SAACCarolinas@gmail.com) so we may have an idea as to who will be attending, and if you'll be joining us for lunch at the Harvest Grill.  I hope you are looking forward to this as much as I am.

Finally have time to thank our Regional Rep/Moderator for a great event. The venue was as promised and the weather couldn't have been better.  It was especially nice to have a low-key, relaxed event with plenty of room to park the cars and have time to "swap lies" with old friends and make new ones. Thanks as well to Bill Baker for setting up the Facebook page and posting some excellent pictures of the gathering. Shelton is one of the first vineyards in the state and probably the best for their magnificent layout and one of the best for its outstanding wines. We're in favor of a repeat and perhaps those who stayed home will join us next time.

I'm very grateful for everyone who made the trip to our spring event.  The vineyard is an amazing place and I am so grateful to have spent sometime there with my friends.  I love the idea of returning our spring event to museum, but perhaps we could consider having a fall event (starting 2026) at Shelton?  I can't think of a more beautiful area to be in the fall.

Hey Brian,
When can we have SC host an event. Seems like every one of these are 2-4 hours away from us in SC.
Just my $.02

Thanks,
Joel

Absolutely Joel!  You should contact the South Carolina Representative.  His name is Michael Chludzinski. He lives in Hilton Head Island, SC. He's a long time SAAC member and formally from New York.  His email is : shelby6t5@aol.com

A few of the members were talking about possibly having an event in Charleston, at the Yorktown.  I would love to see that happen and would pack up 'Scarlett' for the long ride right away.

Michael is a first rate guy, very knowledgeable. I suggest going to the Hilton Head Concours. Its a great show. He does a lot for the Saturday Car Club Showcase. Go ahead and go, you won't be disappointed
