When you arise in the morning, think of what a precious privilege it is to be alive to breathe, to think, to enjoy, to love.

Bob Petersen put that one together to get his advertisers together in a bigger trade show. The first one I went to in Vegas was huge and still a coat & tie event. 1/2 through day 1 we were off to KMart for some tennis shoes. The best thing to get from the show was the book of all the exhibitors. It had all the contact info on who to call to con parts for the magazine project cars.
PRI (Performance Racing Industry) is another great show - mainly race only parts and the equipment to make the stuff. If you need shop tools this is the one to hit. Walk around on the last day with a pocketful of cash and buy the stuff they brought to demonstrate at the show usually for 1/3 price.

No, I'm asking myself, "SELF, After All These Decades, What Does B & M Stands For"?

In high school we built a Bantam Roadster with a tri-power 348 Chevy and 4 speed B&M Hydro Stick trans. The trans weighed a ton. It would carry the front wheels most of the way across an intersection.

TA Coupe

I went to the SEMA show for 32 years and had my truck on display with Ford in front of the convention center in 94&95. I even did a Jacob's Ignition install in front of the convention center for an article in one of the magazines. The truck has been in eight or nine magazines. My wife looked over my shoulder and noticed that I was reading about something concerning the SEMA show and said she has a bunch of my old badges from the shows and here's a bunch of them. I went to the first one in 1976 and did 30 in a row before I missed one.
