He is great! But how can he still be a union man? I was a 20 yr old and joined. Made 3X WHAT i had the year before and quit. Never seen such lazy unhappy people in my life. I'm sure there are better union stories than this but that's mine.

First summer out of high school (1978) worked in a lawn and garden factory for UAW Local 111. After my first year of college came back and worked in the engineering department. All my 'friends' on the assembly line wouldn't talk to a 'college boy' who worked in management. Factory was sold in 1988 and closed.

Different mind set in the rust belt. My uncle said it was so hard to fire one of those lazy union workers they would promote them to a white collar job. As soon as the protection of being able to go back to your union job passed you got laid off from your white collar position.
