Good evening all I'm once again at a headscratcher, on a concours 67 gt500 was the underhood paint body color or black? Also the finish of the underside of hood I've seen smooth finish and a rougher looking natural fiberglass texture, which is correct or are both acceptable?

It could be either bare fiberglass or painted a semi gloss black. Either would have body color overspray on the underside from the body color applied to the top side. Smooth fiberglass is not the typical appearance.

Guess you likely have a fiberglass hood rather than a steel lined one.

Just to help illustrate

Here is just two examples of unrestored 67s and the amount of body color overspray that was produced when painters applied body color to the edges, and top surface (including around hood scoop) of the hood while it was being painted off the car.

Though harder to see you can make out the blue behind the hood scoop opening as well as along the edges but the contrast between the colors is not as great as on the white car. Also shows the texture of the bottom surface pretty well.  Ignore the white stain from something after the original purchase
