SAAC-50 Registration ... Here's the link - http://msreg.com/saac50

As with any online system, there will be questions. This year is no different, as we continue to use the Online Registration System for SAAC-50 with Motorsportreg.

We will post answers to questions and hiccups right here, as they are reported to SAAC HQ.

Please report any errors you encounter to ‌info@saac.com

Will there be spaces to leave trailer at raceway overnight while attending?  Also, I have some changes/updates to registration.   The Motorsportreg website is unable to moddify properly.  Consequently, I registerted twice.  Regarding registration who can I contact to clarify and or get refund for the double registration.  Thx

There will be a designated area for weekend trailer parking at the track.

With regard to double registration, send copies of both Invoices and corrections to: info@saac.com

Is the Host Hotel sold out? Are there nearby hotels?

The allocation of Group Rates looks like they are all booked.
I believe there is still some vacancy, but at "retail" rates.
We are working on a list of alternates.

Just curious:  Being SAAC 50, a huge Milestone for SAAC, I would have thought that SAAC would have done what Ford/MCA did with the Mustang 50th and had TWO Venues, one one each Coast.  Why not?  Barber Motorsports Park would have been great for the East Coast.

Test:

An interesting proposition for a meet in the South. SAAC-51? Been a long time since they have been there. Only Atlanta and Charlotte a gazillion years ago. It is a great facility.

Factors involved:
Cost to rent the track per day?
Place to have the dinner?
Nearby hotels large enough for us?
Other things to do?
A local regional group ready to handle the event?

Take up the charge and promote it!

Ya that didn't really work out as planned. Plenty of drama and blame behind the scenes.  Don't think that ground would do the dual event again until the all of the people involved back then retired or forgot. History tends to repeat itself.

As for SAAC doing a dual event sure we can come up with possible or likely road blocks to that.

New to SAAC-50.  Will there be further information and details on Poker Run? Start time? Meeting place?  Is Team Shelby sending out info on Poker run?  Thx

I would suggest to everyone that if you want to get a real "behind the scenes " look at a convention that you volunteer to help, it can be for a single part, a few hours or as many things as you can handle. An example is that if you help at registration you will be guaranteed to see almost everyone. Even the VIzo's need to pick up their credentials and this would. Your chance to get that picture or autograph, plus help make every gets to where they need to be. Another is for the car show, registering cars, collecting the votes, tallies of the results, a lot of work that need some folks who live the details, the SAAC store, want that rare sold out poster or T shirt, this is the place to be first in line
Everyone loves SAAC swag and this is ground zero for that kind of stuff
Working the main gate, wave hi to everyone and help keep the flow of traffic moving. You may even meet Jay Talbot's Prius driving brother.  A great guy with questionable transportation choices.
Help make 50 the one they'll talk about for years and bout be a part of history
Owned since 1971, NOW DRIVEN OVER 250,000 MILES, makes me smile every time I drive it and it makes me feel 21 again.😎

How does one go about volunteering and/or getting more details?  I would like to learn more about assisting in this effort.  Is their someone that I can message or speak to?
